Our rental terms and conditions for apartment rentals
If you wish to sign a tenancy agreement for an apartment with HOWOGE, your total available net household income must be at least three times the total rent. For example, if your net household income is €3,000, the total rent for your new apartment can be up to €1,000. If you receive benefits from the social welfare office, you will need a corresponding rent guarantee declaration from your responsible job center/agency (benefit provider).

In order to conclude the rental agreement with you, we require the following documents:
If you wish to keep a dog in your apartment, you must obtain permission from HOWOGE beforehand. Please submit the following documents: information about the animal's breed, a photograph, proof of tax payment, and proof of insurance. Dogs belonging to breeds classified as dangerous are generally not permitted. For larger dogs, a certificate of good health from a veterinarian is required. For keeping cats, an informal application is sufficient.
Please note that we generally include a 2-year exclusion of termination clause in our residential lease agreements!
